Off at a total tangent, they’ve announced that there will be a fourth “Die Hard” movie. “Live Free or Die Hard” will be released 29th June next year according to the Yahoo movie news I read. If not this film, then soon (say, “Die Hard 5.0: Still alive, still kicking…”) they’ll be featuring the aging Bruce Willis either using his walker, or, wheeling himself around complaining about not getting his “senior discount”.
They’re planning a sequel to “The Pink Panther” too. Will the horror never cease?
Oh, and it looks like Heath Ledger will play The Joker in the next Batman movie due to start filming “early 2007″, with Christian Bale returning as Batman. I hear they’re opting for “The Dark Knight” as a title for the movie … nice … a strong reference back to the really grown-up, gritty comic books. Batman always was a tough guy yet somewhere in the 70’s he turned more camp than a row of pink tents. “Batman Begins” took us back and jump started the frasnchise, so let’s just hope that Heath Ledger can carry the weight as the nemesis of Batman.
