Creation museum pushes ‘true history’
A new hi-tech temple to fundamentalist Christianity is due to open in the heart of Middle America next May, aiming to provide the grandest riposte yet to Darwinian evolutionary theory.
Staff and supporters of the Answers in Genesis organization call it the Creation Museum.
The Answers in Genesis organization is one of the more rational of the “Young-Earth” creationist organizations, displaying a high degree of scientific and rational thought. It’s interesting that even after the BBC news article wrote the “Creation Museum” off as being “just another Disney-style magic kingdom” requiring the visitor to “[reject] centuries of scientific reasoning” the Answers in Genesis blog still links to the article itself (and quotes liberally from it). The blog author maintains a measured and polite tone, merely concluding “the staff writer did a good job in the article, but of course, dismisses AiG’s efforts in the last paragraph“. Way to go guys!
