In a mirror, dimly
Open Quote. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.Close Quote.
Creve Couer II Homegroup

Where and when do we meet?

Group meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm, every week except for the last week of the month, at the home of Jim & Terri Hanson.

What can I expect of the meeting?

There are 4 main elements making up the group activity

  • Prayer
  • Bible study / discussion
  • Relaxed fellowship / hang out time
  • Worship
We want to be a group that has the bible at its centre so study / discussion time will tend to be about a passage of the bible rather than a Christian book or current events. Prayer time will balance praying as a group for needs of people outside of our group, and more personal prayer ministry in smaller groups for individual needs within the group.

What have you done previously?

October 2004 to February 2005, we worked through a series of studies in the book of Hebrews, moving a steady pace of one chapter per week. March through April, we moved into a thematic study looking at the concept of The Kingdom of God:

  • 3 / 9: Old testament and inter-testamental expectations - the Kingdom is future
  • 3 / 16: New testament - the Kingdom has broken in, and is here and now
  • 3 / 23: Parables of the Kindom - The Kingdom of God as an interpretive key
  • 4 / 6 - no group meeting
  • 4 / 13: Gospel of the Kingdom - what is the gospel, the message and mission of Jesus
  • 4 / 20: Kingdom evangelism - in the light of all of the Kingdom teaching, how can we approach evangelism in a wholesome manner

Will there be childcare?

No, sorry, there wont.
